At Carolinas Futsal Academy, our coaches are more than trainers —they are mentors dedicated to developing talent, discipline, and passion for the game. Each member of our staff brings years of experience as players and certified FUTSAL coaches, combining technical knowledge with a true love for teaching. Together, they create a positive and challenging environment where every player can grow both on and off the court.
WENDY MARTÍNEZ
HEAD COACH
With over 20 years of experience in sports, Wendy Martínez has built a solid career as both a futsal player and coach in Costa Rica. She became a national champion multiple times and represented top teams such as Moravia, Curridabat, and Coronado, earning a promotion to First Division.
As a coach, she has led women’s futsal teams across various categories —from U-15 to First Division— achieving titles in National Sports Games, league championships, and youth development tournaments. Her passion for nurturing talent has inspired new generations of players, combining discipline, technical skills, and motivation.
Certified with a Futsal “A” License by FIFA and trained through international coaching programs, Wendy brings not only tactical and technical expertise but also a holistic vision of sport as a tool for personal growth. Her mission is clear: to help every player reach their full potential both on and off the court.
CHRISTIAN GÓMEZ
ASSITANT COACH
With over two decades of experience in the world of futsal and football, Coach Christian Gómez brings passion, discipline, and international expertise to every training session.
A former professional futsal player for UNED San José (Costa Rica, 1999–2007), Christian combines firsthand experience on the court with advanced studies in coaching and player development.
He holds multiple international certifications, including:
